Mary Hise and Henry Limbaugh Henry Limbaugh was the son of Anna Catharina
Ritter and George Frederick Limbaugh. Henry was born about 1775 in Pennsylvania and died 1833 in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri. Henry married Mary Hise December 5, 1793 in Cabarrus County, North
Carolina. Mary Hise was the daughter of Sophia Speck and Conrad Hise. Conrad Hise was a Captain in the Revolutionary War. Mary Hise was born about 1777 and death date is unknown. Henry married
second wife Catherine Mull about 1822 in Missouri. She was born January 16, 1774 in Lincointon, Lincoin County, North Carolina and died about October 10, 1856 in Bollinger County, Missouri. Henry and Mary
Hise had six children: George Frederick Limbaugh, Catherine Limbaugh, Daniel R. Limbaugh, Jacob Limbaugh, Sophia Limbaugh and William Madison Limbaugh. Henry Limbaugh came to Missouri with
his family about 1810 and paid taxes on half of the 650 acres owned by his father in 1811. The Photo Gallery pages 1, 2, 3 and Limbaugh Farm are devoted to the descendants of Mary Hise and Henry Limbaugh.

Delilah Catherine Limbaugh with second husband Jacob Cook Delilah Catherine Limbaugh was the
daughter of Elizabeth Killian and John P. Limbaugh. She was born December of 1855 in Bollinger County, Missouri. Her first husband was Thomas Jefferson Cook born May 26, 1850 to Anna Limbaugh and George B. Cook
Sr. Thomas died August 8, 1885, and is buried on Buck Dee's farm in Madison County, Missouri. There were four children born to this marriage; Eugene Astor born 1878, Cora S. born March 19, 1876 and twin
girls Anna Bell and Ida who were born September 2, 1880. When Thomas died Delilah Catherine married Jacob Cook in 1893. Jacob was born in October of 1862 in Missouri. Delilah and Jacob had one son
named Eddie. After Jacob's death Delilah Catherine married William Smith born April 15, 1833 in South Carolina and died August 21, 1921. Delilah Catherine died February 28,1912 and is buried alongside third
husband William Smith in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance in Stoddard County, Missouri. William Smith's first wife, Lucinda J. Smith is buried there alongside Smith. The two men in the middle of the
picture are Thomas Cook's brother and father and the man on the right is believed to be Moses Limbaugh. |
